This modest home in Beaverton, OR was staged by our team one recent Saturday.  The owner had moved out of state and the home had been a rental for a couple of years.  His listing agent contacted me for a home staging proposal after the home was freshly painted and new carpeting was installed.  There were several homes in this development with the same floorplan already on the market, but they weren't professionally staged. We staged the key "impact" rooms in this home ... here are a few photos of a couple of them .... RESULT?  SOLD in THREE WEEKS!   The listing agent contacted me and said, "Please leave me a pile of your business cards.  This was really KICK-A$$ staging and I will be referring my future clients to you!" UPDATE - After sitting on the market for 7 months, the home sold 6 weeks after staging and closed on Christmas Eve.  Had to de-stage in a snow storm - new blog coming soon! Here is our most recent staging --- We were contacted directly by a homeowner whose house had been sitting vacant on the market for months.  They had been getting a surprising amount of traffic, but no offers.  Not only was the house vacant and off a busy road, but some of the wall colors were not working for potential buyers.  How about a mint green kitchen, partially painted living room, and a bright purple bedroom?  Their Realtor had already proposed painting the entire house, but the owners could not afford it.  We also knew that just staging the property as is was not going to be as successful if at least some o... 10/24/2008
