South Hillsboro New Home Community After more than two decades of planning, new home sites are now under construction in the South Hillsboro community. More than 8,000 homes are to be built over the next several years, providing much-needed housing inventory. Over $120mil is slated for infrastructure improvements. The Reed's Crossing project, whose name was inspired by Simeon Reed, namesake of Reed College in Portland, is scheduled to have home lots ready for sale around Thanksgiving of 2018. Hawkeye and that was how I got this picture! This hawk was sitting way up high off the freeway coming back from Hillsboro Oregon about 90 minutes from Fishhawk Lake, just hanging out and I pulled over right off an entrance, and grabbed my 35-250mm zoom lens. He was incredibly far away, but I tried.  I was SO EXCITED to find out how clearly this came out! Isn't he majestic and powerful?? Look at that fierce "hawk eye"! This handsome fella is a Red-Tailed Hawk and I see them while I'm zooming by on the freeway heading to Hillsboro Oregon, but never have my camera or the time to pull over and get a shot.   Main Street Bridge, Hillsboro, OR The Main Street Bridge in Hillsboro was built in 1997 for the Max line. Located at 18th Street and Main Street, I drove under this bridge while heading from Hillsboro to Newberg the back way over the mountain. Wow, was that a nice drive! Update:  This staged home SOLD in just 6 weeks! Our Portland home staging company recently worked with a wonderful family to help them prepare their home for sale.  In addition to staging this home, we also provided suggestions for easy cosmetic updates that were also cost-effective.  When you're selling a home in today's challenging market, why give buyers an excuse not to write an offer?  When buyers see outdated features and fixtures, it's too easy for them to walk away, and look for a home that's 'move in ready.' These sellers were open to painting the interior, which was needed to give the house a fresh, new energy, so we gave them  neutral paint colors that buyers love.  They'd already wisely decided to change out the carpeting.  We suggested a few new light fixtures in key places... 09/05/2011

Sometimes the days of the week seem to just fly by and the last couple weeks that has been the case for me. Well, sometimes you get a quick wake up and today I got that while showing a home in Hillsboro last night. As we walked around this house, the house started to shake, and it got real loud, so we ran outside to see what all the noise was and as we looked up and the picture above is what we saw. It seems the weekend of the Hillsboro Air Show was upon us and the Patriot Air Team was flying over the house. I did enjoy the show, but getting back home was fun with all the traffic. 08/20/2011
