Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) proposes changes to many routes effective March 27, 2011 The Toronto Transit Commission has proposed many route changes for bus service effective March 27, 2011.  The changes have not yet been approved.  Many of these routes will no longer have service after 7 pm or 10 pm on some days or all days of the week.  Some routes will not operate on portions of the route after a certain time.  Some routes will cease to have service on certain days. City of Toronto Removes Vehicle Registration Fee Effective January 1, 2011 ON December 16, 2010, the City of Toronto Council voted 39 to 6 in favour of eliminating the City of Toronto vehicle registration tax.  The $60 fee will not be charged for new registrations and renewals that take effect on or after January 1, 2011.  However, the change is not retroactive.  Also, prorata refunds for registrations periods that commenced before January 1, 2011 will not be issued.  If your renewal period starts before January 1, 2011, you will still need to pay the full $60 fee for a full year. The call came out of the blue. I was driving in heavy traffic, gearing up and down, cursing the downtown core traffic and my phone rang. Someone saying they were from HGTV, The Unsellables. They were looking at my website, liked my style and wondered if I would like to provide the benchmark property in the neighbourhood for their show. We would all rather be doing something other than laundry so I try to Stage the laundry room to be as pleasant a room as possible. Most laundry rooms leave a lot to be desired, being located in the basement does not help. I grew up  on a farm and the only thing you kept in the cellar was potatoes.
