RIVER MESA is the one of the newest additions in Yukon, Oklahoma. It is located between Mustang Road and Piedmont Road (Hwy 4) just a mile north of historic Route 66. River Mesa - Bring your family home! It is almost like living in the country. The green pastures of Express Ranches are neighboring on the north side of the main entry. Southwest theme landscaping greets the neighbors and visitors with a cascading fountain, yuccas, red hot pokers, pampa grasses and other similar plants. All of them are still young but already look attractive and one can only imagine how striking they will be while maturing over the years. A winding walkway along the long entrance adds interest and reminds of the meandering river. Half way pass the entry you can see three handsome live oaks - they are the b...

Cyber dictionary:  SPAMANNOYUS (SPAM - ANNOY - US) noun modern equivalent of a pesky & annoying, time steeling & stalling - guest who moves in to your computer (sometimes to your home) -  unannounced & uninvited! For last few days I noticed new comments posted on my blogs which are completely not on subject, contain links (only Spamannoyus knows where) and lots of times are not of an 'innocent' nature... Needless to say this 'guest' is not welcomed on my blog (or anywhere else for that matter)! I got rid of them by clicking DELETE button but ... my satisfaction of punching this button doesn't solve the problem... Does anyone else experienced the same problem? Is there something we can do on Active Rain? Waiting with anticipation for 'welcomed' comments from my friends...     With smiles...

A couple of days ago I decided to add a little change to one of my listings...just simple staging touches to add interest and 'catch buyer's eye' ... Lots of people do not have the ability to visually 'see the space', imagine the placement of accessories and get the feel of the surroundings... These simple accessories warm up the interior and definitely say  WELCOME to potential buyers ... People are pleased to spend more time touring and understand the space a little better.... If you need help with staging or re-arranging your house just visit www.Top Dollar House Staging.com and I will guide you through the process.... Just a few interesting reminders about the totally absurd and fabricated global warming. It needs to be stated that people who oppose this hoax are not against protecting an environment - like having clean water, using less fertilizers and pollutants directly dumped into our river streams, etc, etc... In 1998, with Bill Clinton in the White House, Sen. Larry Craig said, "As more and more American scientists review the available data on global warming, it is becoming increasingly clear that the vast majority believe the commitments for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions made by the administration in the Kyoto Protocol are an unnecessary response to an exaggerated threat the vice president himself [i.e., Al Gore] is caught up in making." In 2005 US Sen Inhofe's (R-OK) speach about glo...

4th of July is coming! “We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it.” ~ William Faulkner     July 4th Independence Day is not only a day of picnics, parades and waving of the Old Glory.  It is much more than that - it is an annual celebration to commemorate the courage and faith of our founding fathers in their pursuit of liberty, and the sacrifices made in the struggle to unite a young nation. So give special thanks to those who serve our country (and their families) for their dedication and sacrifice to uphold these same principles of freedom to this day, both at home and abroad.   The Oklahoma City Philharmonic will offer free patriotic pops concerts this week. "Red, White and Boom!” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W Vandament in Yukon. T...

Visual aids are so important to the human eye. Majority of the people cannot imagine possible changes to the unfinished space. A lot of us need to 'hang our eye' on something. A bare wall has a tendency to make the place smaller and very unappealing, of course.  A lot of us need to 'hang the eye' on an object or accessory. Color makes the space interesting and attractive. Accessories help us 'feel' the space and create warmth. Just few simple accessories and a little color make a lot of difference. It certainly helps visitors understand the space and very possibly helps them 'move in'... My Open House visitors were really pleased and sent few compliments my way... This is very important with the new construction where bare walls make all rooms look the same to the potential buyer... Bel...

A little while ago I came back from the Yukon High School football/track field where David Swanson was still running! 24 hours - he ran, and ran...what a dedication and physical condition! It was just a few minutes before 5PM, which was a cut off time, and I could tell that these few last minutes he was still running effortlessly. There were lots of TV crews with big cameras, David's parents, friends, other runners when he finally reached the finish. What an accomoplishment!!! David raised a little over 20K for the Wounded Warrior Project. This is his first annual run. He was so happy with a smile on his face. He thanked everyone for participation, everyone who loves America. Thank you David - we are so proud of you!!! With smiles, Bo       Fox News truck at the stadium           I visi...

It came with a vengence. Wild, powerful and violent weather with a twist...a lot of twisters that is. The day of February 10th started pretty good - sunny and nice. We were expecting heavy storms  in the afternoon. But oh my, we didn't expect this kind of violence! Just across from my office, Keller Williams Realty, just yards away, I could see this twister. It was coming toward me, dark, swollen, rotating and angry. I took this picture and then ran to the safe room inside the office. This one was rotating very, very  low and we didn't know when at what moment it would make a touch down. Thankfully it didn't! It went farther North toward Edmond and took it's carnage there by destroying shopping centers and neighborhoods.  Above: Twister just yards away from my office. Another funnel wa...

I was present when this little sweet thing was born...what a miracle! He was so akward and a bit tired but really tried hard to stand up on his legs...Since he was born he was always a pure joy to have, however, he is capable of showing some temper and "who is the boss" attitude. He comes from an excellent bloodline and my friends hope for a "good bump" in their retirement...LOL...Enjoy!

This is a pic which I took last spring on the outskirts of Yukon, Oklahoma. Heading North on Frisco Road to preview a listing for my client - my attention turned toward this fantastic scene. I just took one look and thought - this scene is so expressive of Oklahoma. Oil and cattle - great tradition and industry. That is what made Oklahoma and to this day still does!

If you’re from Yukon, chances are you’ve driven by the Czech Hall.  For those of us who are longtime Yukon residents you’ve almost certainly been to the Czech Hall for one of their infamous dance nights, a wedding reception or party.  The Czech Hall was built in 1901 on land donated by local Czech immigrants.  The building is recognized as a State and National Historic Site.  Since its beginning, the Yukon Czech hall has been the center of Czech-American culture in Oklahoma as well as serving as a social center and meeting place for non-Czech residents in the surrounding community.  My own sister, Jaley, actually had her wedding reception there in 2005.  It was loads of fun with a dance floor that never ended.  Truly the dance floor is the largest in Oklahoma with 3400 square feet of ha...
