For several years we lived in North Carolina.  That's where my infatuation with a large front porch began.  In North Carolina a front porch is a common architectural element.  I can just imagine spending a warm summer night sitting on the porch sipping something lovely while waving to the neighbors as they walk on by.  Can you see it?
