We all know what a handy resource Craigslist is for buyers and sellers, job seekers and potential employers, etc. I've used it for some time with very little problems, but recenty was the victim of a repeated attempt at rent scam, or possibly even identity theft. I received numerous inquiries about a legitimate house for sale/lease purchase in a great subdivision near Columbus, Ohio. The scammers had taken my craigstlist ad, looked up the owner's name on our auditor's website, created an email address in the owner's name and was soliciting renters for $800-$1,000 less per month.
