With Labor Day done, summer is winding down and it is time to look towards fall. The French Creek Merchants Association has paired up with the French Creek Development Association and other local organizations to host the city’s annual Fall into Avon, a Celebration of Autumn festival Sept. 8-9. The annual event  usually draws crowds in excess of 5,000 from the community and from all of Northern Ohio. This year, the festival will include a Classic Car Show, Sidewalk Sale, Taste of Avon, Kids Pavilion and the BMX and Skateboard Challenge. The eighth annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival will kick off on June 17, 2011, just in time to celebrate Father’s Day. In reviewing the market report for Avon Ohio this past month of January. It has been apparent that the market has stabilized in the area.  Though there has been a decrease in homes sold there has been a decrease in inventory and there is another 18 homes in the area in pending status (indicating some sold signs are out there, getting people thinking). Increase sales over last quarter and increase over this time last year (by a giant 42%) is a strong indication that the market is better in our area. These guys have object of all kind for yard from bird feeders to decorate rocks and personalized items.  They have topsoil, gravel, lime and even firewood (I love their prices on that firewood) and everything is  reasonably priced.
