The First Time Home-Buyer Tax Credit!!! #2 How do you calculate the new tax credit? Basically the Tax Credit that you can receive is determined by the price of the purchase and your income. If the purchase price is under $80,000.00 and you are single with an adjusted gross income of up $75,000.00 you will receive up to 10% of the sale price. If you are married filing jointly you income can go up to $150,000.00 and still get the credit. An example would be if the purchase price is $45,000.00 and you meet the income requirement you will receive $4,500.00. If your purchase price is $80,001.00 and meet the income requirements you will receive $8,000.00. If the purchase price $350,000.00 you will receive the same $8,000.00 credit. There have been some homes that have come on the market in the last 3 Months that had accepted offers in the first 3 weeks of being on the market. Why do some homes sell faster than others? It's a very easy question to answer. The homeowners priced there homes according to the present market and made sure the condition matched the price. Showed Homes to 5 different buyers this week!!!! I have been showing homes to a lot of buyers in the past 5 weeks. Make 6 offers. Got 3 accepted. 2 of them are buying homes that we saw the first day out. Showed a foreclosure to a buyer today and they put in an offer. Buyers are either coming in with pre-approvals are will made the call right from my office. Buyers are finally realizing that; NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!!!! Do you need Approvals to sell my land? Selling your Vacant Land-Westchester and Putnam County! You do not always need to have building approval to sell your Vacant Land!! But if you want to get a good price for it you better at least have Board of Health Approval. Buyers that buy property without approvals will usually pay any where from 12-50% less for a piece of vacant land. Start with a survey and then hire an Engineer to get your approvals.
