A Feng Shui Consultant in Oyster Bay Long Island Sometimes I believe Long Island has Feng Shuied itself.  Just a tiny glimpse of the wonderful Spring that we've all been waiting for came on a day that was predicted to break a record and hit 60 degrees.  The weather men were off a bit.  Long Island hit 70! I don't believe ANYONE stayed home.  Laura and I decided to head up North to the lovely town of Oyster Bay.  It was time to reconnect with Nature, spend time OUTSIDE after a very long winter.  As you can see in the photos, the snow hadn't even melted yet after a whopping 14" had hit our area. If you wander just beyond Oyster Bay, you will end up in a beautiful place called Oyster Bay Cove.  We are doing a Feng Shui Consultation in Oyster Bay next week...and doubt we'll have the weather...

For people who want privacy, look no further.  Oyster Bay Cove is the place to be.  The late Oleg Cassini had a big place in Oyster Bay Cove.  Oyster Bay Cove is so different from the Hamptons because you can  keep your privacy here.   We do not have the glitz and glamour of the Hamptons.  People don't gawk at celebrity here.   Most celebrity who settle here are down to earth people who want to lead a quiet life although they are very involved in the community.  They give a lot to the community through the various charities.  Oyster Bay Cove lies east of Oyster Bay and East Norwich, north of Syosset, and west of Laurel Hollow.  Steamboat Landing, Landing Rd, end of Cove Woods Rd and only part of Cove Rd. have waterfront properties.  Houses in Oyster Bay Cove range in price from $895,000...

For lovers of animals, there is a new exhibit at Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay Cove that just opened and will run till Jan. 2009.  Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay Cove is a neighboring village of Oyster Bay, NY.  It was the summer White House during the Theodore Roosevelt presidency.  The photo exhibit is titled "White House Pets: Ambassadors at Large" sponsored by Friends of Sagamore Hill and the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site.  There are photos of animals at the White House from Thomas Jefferson era all the way to George W. Bush.  Artifacts relating to pets at Theodore Roosevelt White House were also added.   There are lots of exciting stories with the young Roosevelt children and their love of animals.  Apparently Quentin and Archie Roosevelt befriended the pet store owner near t...
