I was headed past the animal farm this week and this goose was in the road (as it often is) and this time it came right up to the car as if he/she wanted to hop in.  I snapped this with my cell phone before he/she waddled away chattering on and on. I saw this come across on Twitter the other day and thought it was worth the post.  This is someone who saw an animal in trouble and not only took the time to help but caused himself some discomfort in the process.  And for those that ride you know that this was no small feat to put an animal like this on a motorcycle.  For if the animal got a little too wild it could have proven quite dangerous.  The animal was a baby and was probably extremely exhausted but he still went out of his way and he is to be commended.  I wish everyone reacted this way to an animal in trouble.  Kudos to this rider!

Fighting Hunger is a world wide effort.  The AmpleHarvest.org Campaign is a multifunctional organization that allows local gardeners to donate their surplus whether large or small which is then routed to local Food Pantries.  If you are a family with a garden and you wind up with too many tomatoes for example rather than letting them go bad or throwing them out you can help curb hunger by donating them.  If you are a Food Pantry and you register, any local surplus that comes in to AmpleHarvest.org will be sent the Food Pantry's way.  This is spread across all 50 states and is helping diminish hunger in America. An estimated 100 billion pounds of food is thrown away annually in the United States.  IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.  You can help! There are flyers on the site that you can p...

For the last couple of weeks I have been hearing about a mower that mows your lawn for you.  Hhhmmmm....this I could get used to!  At first I thought...how lazy can someone be?  But technically if you are not mowing the lawn you can be:  making money, spending time with family, at the beach - well you get the drift.  I came across this Automower and what an amazing little gadget this is.  It will mow your lawn for you from start to finish with just a few easy set up steps.   It comes in different sizes, it is weatherproof and no emissions.  Looks like another gadget that will be changing things in the future!

April 2011  Market Update Gradual and uneven progress in the housing market continues without government support. The market has shown remarkable improvement from the initial drop after the expiration of the home buyer tax credit this past July. Although higher-than-normal distressed sales skew the overall picture of home prices downward, inventory remains at pretax credit expiration levels. The rock-bottom interest rates of 2010 are likely to trend upward. As economists anticipate rates at or above 6% by the end of 2012, buyers are moving off the sidelines and into the market.  Recent reports suggest the economy is picking up steam even though it is not yet fully reflected in the job market. In terms of economic growth, America outpaces all the other G7 nations except Canada.  Howev...
