Carolyn Tann-Starr's Desk At REMAX People Realty Geek Love? You betcha! Who else would be running Windows Vista and Windows XP at the same time (LOL). So you want to take a tour of Wordy C Central, eh? Not much to see. I work in a cubicle at REMAX People Realty. See that big pink Hello card? That was from Don Rogers. He was the very first Rainer to ever send me a present. A beautiful clear paint can of tasty candy that my kids came to the office to squabble over (LOL). Matter of fact, Stephen the Minion Blur usually stands on the left side of my desk playing on the glass shelf with his Thomas the Train choo choo while I am working. Noah takes over the computer of course. That's why we call him Noah the Net Geek (LOL). We have to negotiate our turn on the electronics because little dude...

A New York Feng Shui Bedroom?  By Feng Shui New York Consultant A Feng Shui Bedroom in Flushing Queens New York As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I encourage people to read about Feng Shui and try to apply some of the principles to their own Homes and Businesses.  There is, however, so MUCH information out there and so many schools of thought on Feng Shui, it can become confusing.  VERY confusing.  That's a good time to call a qualified Feng Shui Consultant in. My client in Flushing Queens NY called me after she had made attempts to Feng Shui her own home.  For many areas, she had done a wonderful job!  Although we made changes to change the placement of some items for balance and to address the Five Elements, I'd found that she really had achieved a good understanding for Feng Sh...

ActiveRain Group Club Chaos Icon I had fun creating this bit of art. I've been working on it all morning. Seems a couple of the bay-bays wanted note cards and mugs (LOL). I hear a tee shirt may be in order. I second the motion. Hmm... Whaddaya' know... Change is good (LOL). ;-) I love the ActiveRain Group Club Chaos because that's where my virtual family resides. It's my favorite place to be when I want to visit the people living in my computer. Yesterday, I took my wee people on an eye candy hunt to the Prospect Park Zoo just so I could photograph the Monarch butterflies. I actually shot several species (and a few animals) since I hate wasting a chance to collect some eye candy. They have a neat little collection on location in orientation and discovery for the kids to see and learn a...

The accident happened at 12:30 in midnight. A car was smashed into a cape house on Horace Harding Expressway in Kew Garden Hills (Also known as Flushing) with zip 11367.In Chinese Feng Shui, it is said a housefacing a road perpendicularis not good (A long knife pointing tothe heart); also a curve road with the road curved toward the house (A curve knife cutting the waist). I am not superstitious, but do believe the wisdom in a scientific way. The House can be showed as example. The house is on 61st Road facing North, Exit Ramp from Long Island Expressway is about 45 degress toward the house, cars come out the ramp have to curve left to avoidhitting straightto the house. Houses with such criteria will just have higher rate of accident.

As a New York Feng Shui Consultant, I am often asked ONE question:  Does my home need to look like a Chinese Restaurant?   It's a common misconception with Feng Shui and I tell them absolutely not. When making suggestions for any changes necessary, I always seek to work not only with a Client's budget but their style as well.  Quite often nothing needs to show at ALL and some of the Feng Shui "remedies" we use are common objects such as lights or plants. Still, I wouldn't be honest with my client's if I didn't pass along a story and leave the decision up to THEM about whether or not to use this one thing.  Some find it funny, some take it seriously but in almost all cases my clients report back that they have purchased one and used it---and have had good results. Val Allocco first wro...

It was on Robinson St between Cherry Ave & 45 Ave in Flushing. I don't know how it happened, it was a clam day, no strong wind. One of the car-owners live in Kissena Co-op which I sold a lot of units there. The old lady recognised me and asked me if I could take some pictures for her to show insurance company. I took some pictures and emailed to her son right after I went back to office. Kissena Co-op is a nice co-op. The monthly maintenance includes electricity, gas, water, heat and real estate tax. The building is 6-stories, with elevators, laundry room, sitting area, garage and parking lot. Subway, buses, supermarkets and Downtown Flushing are all just minutes away.

This is our third Club Chaos Eye Candy event where we run parallel but dueling contests: ONE for PHOTOGRAPHY (APR-ECP04) and ONE for VIDEO (APR-ECV04). As previously stated, we are looking for your very best eye candy ladies and gentlemen and we want you to submit quality work worthy of a featured post. Club Chaos will be hosting this Active Rain Contest with a little help from our friends, so please pay attention to what is mandatory and what is optional. As requested, we rotated some of the groups and have introduced Fraishe Aire and PAWS into the mix. Each member has a choice of entering one or both contests. 200 points awarded per contest entry. If the work submitted is selected for placement, the 200 entry points will be rolled into the winning point spread. Contestants may only...

They only look innocent. Don't be fooled... As I sit here with my sketchbook working on a new series of panels for Life With Wee People, I find myself wondering just how much artistic mayhem and running amuck I'm capable of. After all, my kids are very self directed. They create a lot of material for me to work with on a daily basis. Flashlight dancing, floating items in toilets, having an electronic love affair with my toaster. It never ends... I wonder if my pen can keep up (hehehe). We shall see... I always did love a good challenge. ;-) Welcome to the ActiveRain Cartoon Network. Brought to you by the ActiveRain Group Club Chaos (LOL). :-)

I was playing with my Sorority peeps on Facebook and we started trading vacation pictures. Living in NYC means I get to vacation all the time in my own backyard . I also like to run amuck in neighboring states so one just never knows what one may get until I decide to post it. I am invading CT next :-). Donna B will be the first to know when I'm coming to collect some eye candy. I promised I wouldn't pass through a state without giving a few people a heads up and possibly high-jacking a victim an Active Rain Club Chaos guide to get opinions for where I should be exploring eye candy for my virtual tours. I'm looking forward to it. Already picked the hotel, I just need a date... ;-) Seems a few of my new gal pals in the UK wanted to see some hyper-local sights. I sent them a few pictures....

Sometimes people e-mail me the most interesting questions. If it is interesting enough I will answer my e-mail in public. I am a paralegal not an attorney so I do not give legal advice but I can share common knowledge. Today, I shall share two points of order and will make no opinions regarding the quotes. BTW, these little snippets of New York state  information can be found on government websites (if you care to look for it) and I am simply going to provide two quotes from here. I love quoting the government. It makes my life easy. If you repeat the government it's pretty hard to mess the info up. What you each decide to do with it is completely up to you. :-) Wordy C Disclaimer: Any comments and contributions provided on ActiveRain.com, ClubChaosAgents.com (or other electronic or pri...

Jutta Starr My lovely and dear, dear friends: THANK YOU ONE AND ALL. I've never lost a parent before and when my hubby's Mom passed away yesterday I was undone. It feels different from any other death and grief I have ever experienced... Please keep us in your prayers. We're going to need all the help we can get. We're looking for emotional outlets right now. Got a Wiki quote for you: "In Judaism, shiva (or shiv'ah, Hebrew: שבעה ; "seven") is the week-long period of grief and mourning for the seven first-degree relatives: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, and spouse. (Grandparents and grandchildren are not included). As most regular activity is interrupted, the process of following the shiva ritual is referred to as "sitting shiva." Shiva is a part of the customs for bere...
