Is a closing gift necessary?  Required?  Optional?  Do you give a gift to your buyers or sellers when you close a transaction for them?  My wife and I do.  We have done so for almost 20 years now.  We always know it is very appreciated.  We did different kinds of gifts in the beginning, home warranties, gift baskets, tickets to local events, etc.  They were all appreciated, some more than others, sometimes we knew of their appreciation, other times did not hear a word. SnowFest at North Lake Tahoe March 4-13, 2011 SnowFest is one of my favorite events at Lake Tahoe. This year we're celebrating 30 years! Although it's on the California side of Northshore Lake Tahoe, it's my absolute favorite event: the Polar Bear Swim at GarWoods. It's unbelieveable that folks--guys and gals alike--are willing to jump into the frigid waters of Lake Tahoe--and swim quite a distance--for a chance to win a few dollars. NORTH LAKE TAHOE REAL ESTATE AFFECTED BY OIL PRICES.  We are watching history unfold in the Middle East at a mind-boggling pace.  Are we going to see $4.00 a gallon gasoline soon?  Probably more through other geopolitical reasons than political tensions in Egypt and the other countries in that region.  More because the world is growing fast and the demand for oil grows daily. It is impossible to ignore the potentially powerful effects of that regions political problems and how it will affect us in the USA.  The overall effect on the world economy also will feel the pressures for many reasons.  In turn so will we.  While Egyptians struggle to put together a new government, so fragile and unpredictable is their path, we on the other hand have something in the air.
