Albuquerque has some great new homes being built in old, established neighborhoods with personality! This "infill" concept is becoming popular in many areas, in contrast to the previous, continual "urban sprawl" development style. A new development by the Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnership is building great new homes in a starter price range in one of Albuquerque's most historic neighborhoods: Barelas! This new develpment was recently profiled in the Albuquerque Journal.The new Barelas homes, in a historic New Mexico location, are designed to bring affordable housing to Albuquerque first-time homebuyers who meet certain income criteria.
