Getting the Winter blues? There are many local events to put on the agenda, including the Old Mill Hill Society's Annual House Tour of beautifully restored historical homes, to help perk you up.  The Old Mill Hill Society 43rd Annual Mill Hill Holiday House Tour will take place on Saturday December 5, 2009 from 12-5pm (snow date is Sunday December 6, 2009). Today almost everyone can feel the influence of the increased competition at the Real Estate market. If you are among those who try to sell their house you know a lot about difficulties. Sellers have to lower prices and pay a lot for advertising of their home before the first potential buyer comes. Here I want to share the story that happened  last week with one of my customers. They managed to sell their house for the price they wanted (not lowering or discounting it) because they managed to wait for so-called "their customer". And the main reason for that siccesful deal was hidden in the Aluminum balconies by Cacciola Iron Works from New Jersey. The buyer loved that balconies so much that the contract became just a technical question and was signed in 3 days. My conclusion: people (bu...

A trip to the Trenton Farmers Market is always on the top of my list, I was introduced to is 14 years ago and was immediately hooked.   Located outside of Lawrenceville and Ewing, the Trenton Farmers Market is on Spruce Street.  The market is open Sunday 10-4 and Tuesday thru Saturday 9-6.   The market dates back to the early 1900s with farmers coming from all over the "Garden State: by horse and buggy to Trenton to sell their produce.  In 1939 it was incorporated into the Trenton Farmers Market and in 1948 opened the Spruce Street location.             Part of the Jersey Fresh Program, The Trenton Farmers Market is open all year long and only allows produce sold that has been grown on that vendor's farm.  Along with fresh produce, there are fresh and dried flowers, baked goods, a food ...

Trenton Unveils New Emergency Response System  In late March, Trenton Officials unveiled its new emergency response system capable of contacting its Emergency Management Team within minutes and all city households within a half-hour. The new system, based on the Connect-CTY mass notification system developed by the NTI Group of Sherman Oaks, California, is in use in more than 11,000 U.S. communities, of which Trenton is the first in New Jersey. The new system differs from other telephone notification techniques in a number of ways, including its offering of options for residents to sign up for calls to their cell phones or unlisted numbers as well as e- mail or text message communications, based on what is most helpful to them. The City has worked with Connect-CTY staff to develop sever...
