Summit New Jersey 07901 home and Real Estate Sales for October 2007October was a ruff month for home sellers in Summit New Jersey.  The home buyers who are willing to buy now truly have the upper hand in this market.  It is not hard for a good Professional Realtor to take home buyers out and have them select one or two homes the buyers are interested in, and negotiate a wonderful deal for the buyers.  This will not likely be the case once the market starts to turn once again as Summit New Jersey is usually one of the most in demand town amongst New Jersey home buyers. Here are the Summit NJ Real Estate transfers for the month of October.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  JimAddress List Price  StyleBedsBathsGARBSMT Sold Price  DOM382-A2 Morris Avenue $   325,000.0...

It was a nationwide day of movement on Saturday called Step it Up.  New Jersey had 10 of these environmental events around the state.  I was at the rally in Summit and I am happy to say that there was a pretty good turn out.  Among the crowd was Mayor Glatt, Senator Kean, Senator Munoz, and many other people involved in the greening of Summit.  It was a very informative meeting  focusing on what has been done in Summit and what still needs to be done.  If anyone missed this environmental rally I would be happy to e-mail you some of the literature that I received or you can go to www.SummitGreen.org to find out some of what was discussed and what you can do as a community.By the way, I haven't forgotten about posting individual tips and suggestions on lowering your own carbon footprint. ...

Real Estate is the World's Largest Man Made Wave Pool - Summit, New Jersey I know the title may seem a bit odd. Maybe even a little crazy, yet you'd be surprised how true it is. Consider the ebb and flow of any market; real estate, stocks, bonds, etc. Markets are alive and rise and fall with the times. Real estate is the largest of these markets because everyone needs a place to live. Not everyone invests in the stock or bond market. Now that we've established the analogy and labeled real estate the king of all man made wave pools, let us take a closer look at how this ridiculous statement makes complete sense. The Rise and Fall of the Real Estate WaveSimilar to the economy real estate is cyclical. This means that it will pass through phases only to return to the same phase years later....

An Independent Press Survey showed that local communities are putting more priority towards environmental issues.  But some towns are doing more than others.  Tune in all week to see how your town compares in the last year.Today's community:  Summit, NJOne of the first things Summit has done is set up a Sustainability Task Force to explore ways to make their city greener.  They have recently submitted their report which includes a Green Master Plan and it can be viewed at Summit, NJ's website. This fall, community meetings will be held to involve individuals in this growing trend with no-cost ways that can have an impact.  One of these programs is the Mayor's Wellness Program that includes Walk-to-School Fridays, which has caused the installation of more sidewalks to encourage pedestrian...

Summit, NJ Real Estate  Today during one of my appointments with a buyer looking for a home in Summit, NJ I was asked, "How many homes are currently active in the Summit, NJ real estate market?" I contemplated it for a second and said my ballpark answer was a little over a hundred, yet due to the nature of real estate the number of active Summit listing could fluctuate daily. After giving my educated guess my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to search the Garden State MLS for every Summit, NJ listing currently active. It turns out there are exactly 133 active Summit, NJ listings as of today, September 25th 2007. Although this number is not an extremely important statistic to know I am glad that I was asked this question because it lead me to idea. I created a website primarily...

Summit NJ home sales for August 2007.August was a fairly good month for home sales in Summit New Jersey.  All in all there were 33 homes that sold in August, a good number considering how the national news media portrays things.  Summit is such a great town, and the home buyers are always asking to see if what they are looking for might be in their price range in Summit NJ.  If you would like to take a walking tour of Summit NJ's downtown.  It sure is a wonderful place.       The Summit NJ Real Estate market can be a competitive one at times.  When one of the homes in Summit NJ hits the market you can be sure that there will be a flurry of activity, and if the home is priced right it will be under contract within days of hitting the market, even in today's market. Address List Price Sty...
