OK--so I'll bet there are more than just two!  But these are the two I heard this week, more than once, and from different sources.  Ready?  Here they are: "I'm in no hurry to sell my house" and... "I'm not going to give my house away!"   The First Phrase:  "I'm in no hurry to sell my house."  Translation-- I want it priced higher than what is recommended, I want to "test" the market, I think I can get more for my house if I'm willing to wait. The Reality:  Overpricing a house rarely brings in MORE money.  Especially in a declining market, the longer a home sits, the LESS it will sell for.  And LOTS of overpriced houses are out there, sitting, waiting, and waiting... and expiring.   The Second Phrase:  "I'm not going to give my house away!"  Translation-- I have an idea in my mind of wh... 02/28/2010

The Southampton Township decision makers, who are also residents, try to avoid the use of pesticide, but will also make weighted decisions and take action when necessary to avoid larger ecological damages.Such is the case with the 2008 Gypsy Moth program that is begin carried out under state (and U.S. Forestry Service) guidelines and control.  Gypsy moth egg mass surveys, conducted by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture (NJ DOA), indicate that gypsy moth populations will be very high during May and June 2008. Leaf feeding by the caterpillars of this pest will cause severe defoliation of many of our trees. As a native Pennsylvanian and an inner city kid, I never dreamed of living in the small historical town called Vincentown in Southampton, NJ.  This beautiful town in Burlington County only has eight streets.  These 8 streets hold a history dating back to the 1700's.  The home I live in is 175 years old.  Sometimes I imagine the servants saying, "look who the mistress of the house is now". (smile)  As a Realtor, I really appreciate how sturdy homes were built back then.  The craftsmenship is remarkable.  This little town has 3 churches, a pizza parlor, 2 family restaurants, a library, an elementary school and fire company.  We have a Town Hall where the Historical Society meets once a month, and a Historical Telephone Building that dates back to the first telephone operators.  And to top... 11/22/2006
