After returning to Sea Isle City after the Irene storm on Sunday when Mayor Desiderio approved entrance back on to Sea Isle, I dropped off my personal belongings and set out to see how fared. To my surprise I found that we were very lucky. It was like the Twilight Zone as no one was around and it was warm and the sun was trying to come out. The beach in Townsends Inlet was in great shape and the beach patrol was bringing out their chairs and rowboats. Irene was good to us and she will not be missed.
