 One of my favorite areas in New Jersey is the town of Ringwood. I spent my early childhood there and have very fond memories of learning to swim in Cupsaw Lake ( my mom held the record for swimming the length of the lake for many, many years ). My grandparents owned a real estate brokerage there on Carltondale Road and I grew up sitting at the typewriter banging on the keys....and literally, messing up my Be-bops ( my pet name for my grandfather ) key board. Not the keyboard on the typewriter....he had a key board with all the listing keys hanging from cup hooks. Then, the lakes were a sleepy summer community filled with summer rentals.
