" The Franklin Municipal Building was completely restored in 1997-1999. The building was originally built in 1929 for the Sussex County Trust Co. The interior now consists of two floors of modern offices.  Franklin Borough received the New Jersey Planning Officials "Achievement in Planning Award" on April 27, 2001 for a rehabilitation project that impacts and improves the standards of a neighborhood. Franklin is an old mining town with about 25 Ore's that are found no where else in the world. Welcome to Franklin New Jersey an area that lays along State Highway 23 and is the gateway to Sussex County is booming with growth. Along Route 23 there is city water and sewer which seems to be the main attraction for area developers. Already there is a Wal-Mart, Hooters, Commerce Bank, Shop-rite,Weis food stores and many more stores and shops on its way.There are many properties listed along the Route 23 corridor and we are looking for more for the great demand of businesses looking to come into the area.
