I could not imagine a more inviting place to stay or visit.  We are surrounded by water on all sides.  The best beaches around that are covered with our own Cape May Diamonds.  We have a history of ghosts, many places to stay for vacation (some haunted), first class restaurants, and horse-drawn carriages.    If the methodic waves are not what would bring you to Cape May, then maybe it is the history.  The colorful Victorian homes that were built in the 1800's that are still here in all of their glory.  The idea that pirates would stop here to use Lake Lily in Cape May Point for their fresh water is intriguing.  How about the homes that were washed away with the hurricane maybe with the occupants of the home still inside.  How about the fact that people from around the world come here to...

The Lobster House is located at Fisherman's Wharf, but it is really in Lower Township only a few hundred yards from Cape May.  When you come to the end of the Garden State Parkway, follow Route 109 over the Cape May Bridge and you will see this sign at the bottom where you turn left.                                                                                    The Lobster House is famous for it's restaurant, but that is merely an anchor for a large complex of several very successful businesses.  Included are:The Lobster House Coffee ShopThe Fish MarketThe Take Out MarketThe Schooner - in seasonThe Raw Bar - in seasonThe Fishing FleetThe Lobster House is known for it's consistent high quality and reputation of doing so for many, many years.  Don't just take my word for it,....check...

Lucky Bones Backwater Grille is located at the foot of the Cape May Bridge on Route 109.  You really can't miss it! Lucky Bones opened in April 2006, was busy from the outset, and hasn't looked back!   It has already won a "Best at the Shore" award.  Lucky Bones features a relaxed atmosphere with upscale casual dining.  It has a great staff and has developed a loyal following from the local crowd.  Please give Lucky bones a try, you'll be happy you did!  You can call them at 609-884-2663.

The Title Company of Jersey is sponsoring Cape May's first Realtor open House Tour on Thursday, April 5th.  Each participating Real Estate Agency is featuring one of their premier listings.  There is expected to be at least 10 properties to be toured by area Real Estate Agents.  This will allow them to share information and provide feedback to the listing agents on how their properties are perceived by other professionals. It is a great way to network and to help each other share information which will hopefully lead to increased sales for everyone.  The Title Company of Jersey's Tour Series is in full swing in other areas of Cape May and Atlantic Counties as well.  The tours are a great way for the Title Company to say "thank you" to everyone for their support.

Cape May is proud to be the home of the U.S.C.G. training center.   It is located right in the middle of the island side of the Cape May Harbor.   This center is where the U.S.C.G. send their recruits for basic training.  There is also specialized training there for enlisted personnel. The Coast Guard has long been a large part of the Cape May economy.  Not only do the enlisted personnel eat, shop and occasionally purchase real estate, their extended families also do the same.   The Coast Guard serves this area well, as they provide many services and community functions.  They are not to be taken for granted.   I know I don't, because I was fortunate enough to be rescued at sea many years ago by a crew that risked their lives to save us.  I am forever grateful!

Cape May is selling it's 2007 beach tags at the preseason sale price of $15.00 per tag.  this is good for the entire season.  The only downside is that this price is good only until the end of March. As of April the price will ascend to $25.00 per tag and remain there for the duration.  All I can say is "Get Yours Now"

Cape May is a truly unique place.  There is no place like it,....anywhere!   Cape May is a place I called home for 10 years, from the mid 70's to the mid 80's.  It has evolved from that time as a quaint seaside town to currently being a world class resort, although not in the traditional sense. Cape May is famous for it's history and it's Victorian Architecture.   Cape May has numerous Bed and Breakfast Houses, but it also has some oceanfront hotels.  It is well known as a hotbed for exceptional restaurants, exhibiting many international influences. The beaches are large and clean and well maintained.  Beach tags are required, and are more reasonable if you purchase them pre-season through city Hall. The city is mainly supported by the tourism and fishing industries.  Cape May also offe...
