We deal with taxpayers who have fallen into the IRS Collection Division's inventory and are dealing with federal tax levies by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). A question that comes up often is what can the IRS really seize?There are two types of federal tax levies issued by the IRS: a "regular" levy and a "continuing" levy. When taxpayers come into our office, many are asking why the IRS penalizes us taxpayers?I had to find the best way to say:Penalties is not to punish taxpayers. Think of it this way, why would any taxpayers go out of their way to keep good records, file their quarterly or annual taxes and then file on time? Because they do not want to be penalized by IRS or their state.IRS penalizes taxpayer because it encourage voluntary compliance. If there is no penalty, why would you file and pay on time? Penalty conserve IRS resources. IRS or the state cannot be chasing after taxpayer for not filing or paying on time. Penalties provide clear guidance to taxpayers and practitioners. It ensure consistent and fair treatment of the issue....

We are still seeing well over normally sold prices in the entire development and only 13 days on market until pending. However, I do see a slowdown of some type coming. I also believe home prices may drop, how much, I can't tell, but with interest rates climbing into the 5% range and the feds raising the rates again, we can expect some sort of shift in prices. Across the board for the country, mortgage applications dropped nearly 40% from April of 2021. While I wouldn't panic yet, If you are considering listing your Valleybrook home, i'd consider doing it pretty soon to maximize your return.
