Sellers often do not understand what is involved in the day to day activities that conclude in the sale of their house. Their understanding of "what a real estate agent does" is that the agent simply places the listing on the MLS and puts out a sign. This document was prepared to correct this fallacy. The scenario outlined below paints a picture for a single relatively streamlined transaction; in reality, there could be several concurrent offers or more than one fall-thru before the final buyer who closes is found.
