 CHARLOTTE AREA'S FIRST VEGAS-STYLE CASINO OPENS IN KINGS MOUNTAIN July 1st saw a "soft opening" for the Two Kings Casino Resort on 16.57 acres of tribal land in Kings Mountain. Developed by the Catawba Nation, the temporary 29,000 square foot casino, built from 29 modular trailers, will feature 500 slot machines, a bar and an out-door patio served by a rotating list of food trucks. The casino will be open 24/7. Additionally, the Two Kings Casino will be just one of a few venues offering sports betting in North Carolina, which was illegal in the state until 2019.  Once the Two Kings Casino Resort is completed hopefully in 2022, it will be a 195,000-square-foot mixed use development with 75,000+ square feet of gaming space.
