Do you find yourself asking, is the timing right to put my house in Martin's Point on the market right here in the middle of winter? The answer is simple, yes. Unlike other areas, where home sales peak and fall with the ebb and flow of the school system, home sales in Martin's Point are not restricted by families looking to relocate. Often, busy professionals find it more convenient to shop for a second home during the winter when traffic and vacationers do not get in the way. Winter shopping for homes is restricted by the weather back home which sometimes keeps the buyers trapped up north but the usual time restraints do not get in the way.The graph below shows the number of homes sold in each month in Martin's Point from July 2014 thru July 2015. It was one of those Kodak moments for sure and my kids have been asking me if I think they will get to do it again this winter. While most of us spend the year in shorts, sandals, and ...

Many times I feel so lucky to call the Outer Banks my home. It is such a special place to live and visit. I was over at a cookout in my neighborhood the other night with some good friends and as the sun was about to go down I snapped a few photos that were so pretty I decided not to keep them to myself. The photos were taken from my neighbors deck( not a bad view to have every night) looking back across the Sound just north of the Wright Memorial Bridge in Kitty Hawk.  I hope you enjoy the pics. If you have not already visited the Outer Banks please come down and if you have please come back!!
