The annual Take a Kid Trout Fishing event is being sponsored by the Ellendale Ruritans and North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is Saturday March 21st from 8:00 - 12:00 at the Ellendale Pond behind the community building. All children under 16 can fish, but must be accompanied by an adult. One fishing rod per child (provide your own) is a requirement. A limited amount of bait or lures will be available to borrow - so plan accordingly. A limit of seven trout may be posses during the event.
