Melissa had read my, ‘Operation Noah’s Ark’ post which was about the rescue of hundreds of animals in an animal hording case. In fact this post has created more emails and calls than any other that I have written thus far; emails and calls asking who to contact to adopt these animals. For the past month I have wanted to have a pet of the week or month that needs to be adopted, in hopes of being a link in assisting pets get a se...

Where’s the GAS? I have to honestly say I have never seen anything like it before… we are literally running out of GAS! Passing gas station after gas station and the pumps are dry. The easiest way to tell if a gas station has gas is by the lines of cars waiting to get to the pump. So essentially we have gone from shopping around for the best price to just paying any price to have it.This situation started a few days after Hurricane Ike hit the United States. We have been told that a fuel pipeline that supplies much of the southeast was shut down during the storm and the gas is flowing back to Charlotte at the rate of four miles an hour.Industry experts are predicting that the problem should be resolved in about a week. I can honestly say that experiencing this brings new meaning to sh...
