Corolla North Carolina. Outer Banks Horses and Houses. Photo tour. The following photo tour was taken in the Northern Outer Banks area of Corolla Light. This is one of our favorite family vacation spots. The houses are huge and designed to be rented by extended families or lots of friends.  We usually go with 7-10 people with friends and family wandering in and out for a couple days as their schedules permit.         "Corolla NC" Create a free slideshow with Picnik!           This is a rare scene.  You can see horses easily in this area of the Outer Banks, but seldom in the surf.
