Clayton, NC Real Estate News

(Clear Choice Home Inspections, Inc)
I inspected a house in Clayton NC today that was about 2,800 sq ft. Overall it was in pretty good shape. It did have one framing problem in the attic and my Johnston County NC inspection also reviled a series of non-filtered HVAC return ducts - this can cause inefficient operation and long-term damage. There were other items such as a loose toilet, running toilet, shingles that were not flat and sharp screws used to hold the cover on the electrical panel (sharp screws are a no-no b/c they can pierce wires). Overall, the home inspection in Clayton NC (E. of Raleigh) went well. For more info, see our site

RELOCATING TO THE TRIANGLE? Have you thought about where you'll be banking?  When we first moved to the area, my husband and I didn't even think about needing to switch banks. But, once we realized that our current bank wasn't located in Raleigh, we started looking for a new bank.  We had no idea what banks were available or how many branches each of the banks had - we just knew that we couldn't deposit a paycheck or write a check until we set up an account with a local bank!  If you're relocating to the Triangle, here's a guide to local banks, along with where they are headquartered, how many branches they have, and some features of each.  This information is geared to the Wake and Johnston county areas, specifically to the towns of Raleigh, Clayton, Knightdale and Wendell, as well as ...

I was just checking out Derek Guyers post on his rehab tips.  I added one suggestion that I am now going to tell you about. If you are rehabbing a home, building your personal home, flipping a home, remodeling or just need some basic repairs, consider your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  This is where builders and contractors bring their items removed from another remodel or maybe another rehab and donate to Habitat for Humanity for a tax donation credit.  Some of these items are in excellent condition, some may need a little repair and some are brand new.I have personally purchased closet organizers, vinyl flooring, antique door knobs, chandeliers, and shower fixtures.  I have seen entire bathtubs, paint cans, oak hardwood flooring, parquet flooring, vanities, furniture and almost ...
