Hernando MS Neighborhood Parksby Pam SimpsonThe Kudzu Vine Hernando MS (the DeSoto County seat) has several great neighborhood parks.  One of the newer parks is Lee's Summit Park located in the Lee's Summit neighborhood right off Monteith Rd.  This park has a paved walking trail, playground, pavillion with picnic tables, and a pond.  It is located just behind the "Wal-mart shopping center".    Conger Park located off Oak Grove Rd. in the southern portion of Hernando is one of the most well-known parks in Hernando.  I always see someone there every time I drive by.  This is also a good place to stop and take your lunch break.       There is lots of great playground equipment, a tennis court, paved walking trail, and a pavilion with picnic tables.  This is a large park with lots of runnin... 08/05/2009

In addition to hamburgers and fries (which some say are THE BEST in the Mid-South), The Velvet Cream also serves up such concoctions as the Monster Burger (4 cheeseburger patty hamburger) and the Heartburn Hotel (smoked sausage with chili, cheese, onions, jalepeno pepers and mustard).
