Hernando MS Real Estate Report - May 2010 While Hernando MS saw a slight decrease in the number of sales for May, we also saw an increase in the sales price and a decrease in the days on the market. Hernando MS Real Estate Market Report - March 2010Unlike Olive Branch MS and Tate County MS, Hernando MS did not see any increase in sales over last month.  There were 25 homes sold last month in Hernando with an average sales price of $163,355 and an average days on the market of 92. Lake Home Community in Hernando MS Buena Vista Lakes is a lake home community in Hernando MS located off Highway 51 just north of the Arkabutla Lake 51 landing.  This neighborhood has been around since the mid-to-late 1960s when it was used by families from the Memphis, TN area as a weekend getaway destination.  That was back before the I-55 freeway connected the metro area of Memphis to the more rural areas of Northwest MS.  Also, back then there wasn't much in the way of development in Northwest MS so it seemed like you were really "getting away from it all" when you traveled to Buena Vista Lakes.  Even though there is much more in the way of development now, it still feels like a weekend retreat.         The homes that make up this lake home community in Hernando MS are an eclectic m...

Hernando MS Neighborhood Parksby Pam SimpsonThe Kudzu Vine Hernando MS (the DeSoto County seat) has several great neighborhood parks.  One of the newer parks is Lee's Summit Park located in the Lee's Summit neighborhood right off Monteith Rd.  This park has a paved walking trail, playground, pavillion with picnic tables, and a pond.  It is located just behind the "Wal-mart shopping center".    Conger Park located off Oak Grove Rd. in the southern portion of Hernando is one of the most well-known parks in Hernando.  I always see someone there every time I drive by.  This is also a good place to stop and take your lunch break.       There is lots of great playground equipment, a tennis court, paved walking trail, and a pavilion with picnic tables.  This is a large park with lots of runnin...
