Don't forget to "Fall Back" Saturday night and set your clock backwards one hour. I kind of dread it getting dark an hour earlier but on the other hand, maybe it will be a little easier to get up in the morning. As Springfield MO REALTORS®, our days start really early, usually around 5:30!   When you set your clocks back, its also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and an easy way to remember the last time you changed them.  Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!

Tuesdays are Sales Meeting Day at Murney Associate Realtors.   Each day agents in the know attend the meeting and tell of their Buyer Needs and Share information on New Listings and Price Reductions.   Deals are made on Tuesdays over and over again!    I See LOTS of great properties and it is great to share feedback with other agents about their listings.    Tour Day is great networking, and I would recommend any SELLER who is selling in Springfield, Ozark, Nixa, Republic, Battlefield, Rogersville, Strafford, Highlandville, Marshfield, Spokane or Sparta, MO  find out if their agent is or will be promoting their house within their company as well as with other agents.    Some joke about the FREE lunch, but for me it is about getting Belly to Belly with people who are working wit...

Now that's a jack-o-lantern! Or is it just a pumpkin face? We took this picture a few days ago at Silver Dollar City near Branson MO. This amazing pumpkin carver goes to a lot of work carving intricate faces that will only last a few days. He said he takes lots of pictures to preserve them that way. Trick or Treat!

I’m holding back tears (and not doing that very well) as I write this to say farewell to our two beloved dogs Boomer and Casey. Last weekend was one of the most horrible weekends of our lives. Through a terrible accident we lost not one, but both of our two best friends. We had Boomer for three years and Casey for nine years. These weren’t outside dogs, they were like our kids. Our house is strangely quiet now and everywhere we look and everything we do reminds us that they aren’t there anymore. No more playfully growling at the laundry basket when we washed clothes. No more tug of war or sitting in our lap, whether we wanted it at the time or not. If you are one of our regular blog readers, you may have noticed that Casey or Boomer sometimes showed up in our videos and pictures. It’s d...

Of course, I love what I do!   You probably know lots of Realtors, but I do business differently than most.   I preview houses every day because I want to know what is available and what market values are.  I invest in my education and have a group of mentors who are top producers who offer knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for our business.      I drive thousands of miles each year, looking at $10,000 houses as well as multi-million dollar houses and everything in between.  I have walked parcels of land, played on the banks of the James River with clients  to get a good feel of the property.   If you are going to call it home, you want to see what the property is ALL about! I look at property so I can “SHOW” clients GREAT PROPERTIES.      I want to stay in touch with the market! Wh...

Fall Check-Up for your home In and Around in Springfield, Mo is key for any home-owner.   As a Home-Owner, a detailed check up of your home is like a visit to the doctor's office for a physical.  You can access everything and know what is OK and what is not.  You also want to take measures to fix things that need fixing before they get out of hand and then need to be replaced.  Here is a fall check list that may be useful for all home-owners in maintaining a healthy home.   1) Make sure your garage door opener is auto reversing (going back up if it senses an obstruction) and adjust it if need be.    2) Clean out the window wells and gutters, it is just good housekeeping.   3) Check your window and door weather stripping for damage and tightness of fit, if you see light you need to make ...
