Is the Springfield Missouri real estate market in recovery? Home sales have been for the past few years and a sizable amount of sold homes have been foreclosures and short sales. This is encouraging since its onl...

We often get asked what it takes to sell a home in Springfield Missouri or the surrounding areas of Ozark, Nixa, Rogersville, Willard, Battlefield, or Republic. This is a complex question and the short answer is - it depends! Buyers are looking for a good deal (or even a steal) on a great home in a great neighborhood. If this doesn’t describe your property, don’t despair. There are many variables involved but here are some points to get you on the right track.  1.       Location. It makes a huge difference if your home is next door to a well-kept home with a beautiful yard or next to a junk pile. You can ask the neighbors to clean it up and even offer to help. If they won’t cooperate then there’s not much you can do to overcome this situation other than price your home lower than your c...

Are you thinking about selling a home in Springfield Missouri? Here are five tips to help you sell your house. 1. Let's not beat around the bush. Condition and price are king. Your home may be on the market, but to be in the market it has to be in better condition and a better price than your competition. On the other hand, price it too low and people may wonder what is wrong with it or you may leave money on the table. Consult a real estate professional to find out what homes are selling for in your neighborhood in today's market. We do comprehensive research to determine what homes are selling for including neighborhood, citywide, and comparable properties for the year you purchased your home compared to this year. 2. Stage that house! Its a fact that homes that are staged sell better...

Think of all the people and things you trust every day. You trust that the food you buy is safe to eat, that the water is safe to drink, and that your car will start in the morning. You trust your family, your friends, and your business partners. If you fly on an airplane you trust that the plane has been thoroughly inspected for mechanical problems, you trust that someone put fuel in the plane, and that the pilot has the experience and skills necessary to fly and land the plane safely. As real estate professionals trust is also a key element of our business. When we list a home for sale in Springfield Missouri, our clients are entrusting us to handle all the details of one of the most important financial transactions of their lives. People make small purchases every day and might sell ...

Are Springfield Missouri Foreclosures Increasing | Springfield Missouri Market Report RE/MAX CEO,  Dave Liniger, predicts that foreclosures and short sales will make up half of all the sold properties for 2012.  Below is a report of bank foreclosures from 2010 to the end of 2011 for the Springfield Missouri Market.   Foreclosures went down during the middle of 2011, but gradually increased to the end of the year.  So far this month, over 30 thirty successor trustee deeds have been filed......and we aren't even halfway through the month.   Dave Liniger is also predicting that interests rates will remain low, with the number of sales for 2012 increasing.  Here's a report of Foreclosures in the Springfield Missouri market:     How do we slow the number of foreclosures?  If you know someone...
