Have you ever considered Public Service?  I think that I have just been paid the ultimate compliment! Yesterday I was invited to have coffee with who I believe will be the next Mayor of O'Fallon Missouri. So, we meet at St. Louis Bread Company at 8am as planned and sit and talk for about an hour.  Things like what is going on with me and the real estate market.  You see he is also a REALTOR® so we do have some things in common.  We have an enjoyable time and then he looks at me and says "Have you ever considered public service?"  GULP!!  He tells me that he would like me to consider one of two options, either an appointment to fill his vacant seat OR run for election to the other seat in the ward as a city councilman. No this isn't O'Fallon, MO....... But, it was a fun time. The date:  Sunday October 19, 2008 The Place:  Eckerts Fun Farm Where:  Millstadt, IL. The Event:  Apple Picking with the Grandkids If you have never been apple picking, like me, then you are missing a real fun time.  The weather was absolutely wonderful.  We could not have had a better day to enjoy watching them fire pumpkins out of one huge cannon, or picking apples.  Other fun things going on were pony and camel rides, pig races, picking you own pumpkin and going thru their version of a haunted barn. The best part of it all is it is just a short drive from O'Fallon and in a couple of the pictures you can see the Arch in St. Louis. 10/22/2008

OMG, are my eyes deceiving me??  Wait a minute and I'll rub them once again.  NOPE they're not! My morning started early today.  And it was a real eye opener when I drove by one of the gas stations close to my home.  As I always do, I checked the prices and couldn't believe my eyes.  I had to stop and take a picture because I am sure that people would find it hard to believe.  Check it out!   We have been seeing gas prices drop multiple times a day so I can hardly wait until tonight to see where they will be. 10/11/2008

O'Fallon MO and St. Charles County MO Book Your Hayride Now, It is never too soon to book a "Monday Night Special" train or a sleigh-hayride to see the 17th Annual Celebration of Lights display.  You will travel over a one mile route of traditional and whimsical holiday scenes in Fort Zumwalt Park in O Fallon MO. Train rides and sleigh-hayrides must be reserved at least two weeks in advance. Train rides are available on December 1,8,15 and 22.  The cost is $7 per person for ages 12 and up, and $5 for ages 3 - 11.  Ages 2 and under are free but reservations must be made for all passengers.  The train leaves the "station" every 30 minutes from 5:15pm - 8:45pm (last ride).  No other vehicles will be allowed in the park on Monday nights.
