Ronald Karel was born in Istanbul, Turkey back in 1953.  He holds dual French-Turkish citizenship.  Even as a child he knew what he wanted to do (I like this guy, he sounds like me).  His desire was to pursue a career in meteorological weather forecasting.  For whatever reason he received huge criticism from his family for wanting to make a career out of weather forecasting.Regardless he pursued his dreams.  He continued studying meteorological sciences on his own.  He visited organizations like UNESCO (Paris), Imperial College London, University of Jessieu (Paris), New York University, Russian Academy of Sciences, NOAA (Bolder, Colorado) and travelled to many countries in Europe to convince researchers about his findings.  For 30 years his theory was rejected until the early 1980’s whe...

Best Wedding entrance by a Willis child in the month of August.  The award goes to SARAH! When one has four children she learns to do qualifying statements! Youngest daughter, Sarah, exchanged vows with her new hubby, our new son-in-law, Nick on  August 14th.  (It never matters how 'old' they get she is still our youngest!) I thought my readers might enjoy seeing a bit of the 'opening ceremony'. Yes, I made the flowers. No, this was not the rehearsal (they didn't do one).  I hope all our your weddings are as fun.  Best wishes to the new couple.  His mom and I are still fighting over who got the better end of the deal.  I think we won by adding Nick, she thinks they did by getting Sarah.  For now we will just be happy for the union and share the both of them.

While Lane and Karlee enjoy "playing" at the park, they are serious about their grandma's business. Monett City Park is a favorite place to gather with friends and family.  Even during our 'off' time we are available for our clients.  I was on the phone with a buyer when I over heard the above converation and had to get a picture. I can't wait till the kiddos get their liscense and join my business!

We have a very exciting couple of days in our family.  Favorite Oldest Son and his wife, delivered a beautiful baby girl early, early Thursday morning. (6-3-10) Breely Grace Willis arrived at 12:55 AM (what's up with that?) and weighed in at 8lbs.  She measured 21 1/4".  Normally when I get to do a good 'Out and About' I give kuddos to all the parties involved.  Since I have not had a chance to check with the Doc to see if she wants her name 'out there' I will just say- great job! Kelly's good friend Karen was amazing with her coaching skills (this is her second assist with a Willis baby). I was blessed to get to stay and 'be there' but not allowed to 'touch' anything.  The daddy got to cut the cord. (is that practicing without a license?) Baby is doing great and hopes to come home tod...

The metal has been delivered and the frame is going up! I am so excited with how much has gotten done today.   It will be fun to see the reaction of church members when they get to services this evening.  Last time we met there was just a big pile of beams on the ground.  It is coming along!--  cw

Could have made this post a WORDLESS- you know a picture is worth a thousand anyway. Shouts out to KAY Concrete of Monett 417-235-3628 for the awesome job on the floor pour. The crew had the pad poured for our new Auditorium first thing Tuesday morning.  I snuck in a couple of shots to share before heading to crash a 1st grade Holiday Party.        I have to say I am so proud of how our Contractor is working so well with the Subs.  This project is flying along.  We should be seeing walls up soon.   Great Day and Great Progress- I didn't even have to wear boots!-   Merry Christmas- let's take a couple of days off-   cw

The first time we visited the church in Monett was in 1986.  We came to town for a family wedding.  The fellowship building was used as the site for the reception.  If I remember right the trees out front were a bit smaller then. We moved to Monett in 1995.  Our family has been blessed to have opportunity to worship and work with the church while living here.  This post is a little 'shout out' of "way to go" for the building project that is underway.  The Church is know for its Missions works in other countries.  It is nice to know that this building rehab will allow them to continue to work with others to do the things that bring comfort and joy.   The inside of the building was completely taken back to the block walls.  A local builder was contracted to do the roof work.  Insulation ...

I have had several people request that I blog about the progress on our building.  I don't want to do a twenty part series or anything grand but do want to share a couple of the latest goings on: As a disclaimer, I am not an historian, even though I have been actively following the process and doing my part to add to the chaos, I have not been taking notes as to dates or times.  I am doing well to get photos and have an idea as to the month they were taken in. The pictures I want to share today were all from this month. (Dec-09) It has been a busy one--The main building has gotten a new roof, blown on insulation, upgraded electrical wiring and a lot of other things done to it.  I am thrilled to share a couple of my favorite shots: drag your cursor over the picture for a brief descriptio...

My son call me this morning to say that the auction down the road had a couple of quilts at it. He also said, there was no need to go b/c it was all stuff I already had. (yeah right!) There were a lot of people that showed up to buy mostly b/c of the antiques that were available. After seeing how high the items were selling for I resolved that I was NOT going to be bringing anything home. I watched at least a couple of dozen different ladies fondle this top and comment. I figured it would be out of my price range fairly fast. I was hoping that I could at least get a bid in to say I ‘tried' I called our son and asked him to run by my house and grab the camera, I was hoping to a few pictures to remember the ‘one that got away' He showed up just as I won the bid on a couple of boxes of ba...

To make a short story long- I had a client reschedule this morings appointment and decided to sneak in a hair cut with my "Found Time".  I googled Perfect Images looking for a phone number and got everything to pull up but what I wanted.  I know the perfect solution-  I will post my story and with the power of google and my AR branding, I will now have their number in the first slot. Knowing me I will memorize the number and not have to look it up again- just kidding  Good News is that it will be "out there" for the next person looking for a quick trim. *Couldn't decided to use a picture of my new "DO" or their new building-  BUILDING WINS
