Yea...I mean the video Game!  I thought my wife was out of her mind when she purchased one.  Then I was surprised at how much fun we had the first couple of weeks. Then she went and bought the Fitness game with the step board.  We are both looking to tone up a bit and loose a few pounds, and thought this may be a way to do it while having fun.  I fyou haven't tried it, but thinking about it...GO FOR IT!  The program and board together keeps track of your fitness routine and talks to you kinda like a trainer.  It know how much you weigh, how much you gain and loose and gives tips on what to do. While visiting one of the favorite pumpkin patches in Wyoming, MN last month, I noticed a bit of permanent décor among the display for the festivities. Long after October, people will be able to drive down County Road 22 and know from this Uniquely Minnesota Artful Distraction where the pumpkins will be next fall. This carved set of pumpkins is in the front yard of the Lendt Pumpkin patch year greeting the family and friends of the owners year round while providing a bit of artful roadside distraction for those passing by. It was a bright sunny October day almost a decade ago, when I first stepped off the Forest Lake Area school bus onto the Lendt's Pumpkin Patch. Holding my kindergartener's hand, we walked to the tractor for our ride into the field to pick out the perfect orange beauty to carve into a jack-o-lantern for our front porch step. With 30 or so other excited children and their parents or grandparents by their sides, we sat on our hay bales for the bumpy ride across the well worn track. Within a few minutes after stopping, everyone had a golden prize and boasts were heard among the kids as to which was more perfect. Wonderful memories were made that day! Two employees for the gas company were on a house call.  The younger man said  the older one, "Geez, you're old!"  "Yeah, that may be so, but I can still outrun you." "How about a foot race" said the younger of the two. With that they started running at full speed around the block.  The older man kept up with the younger one as they rounded the first corner.  It was neck and neck around the 2nd and 3rd corners also. As the came up to the last corner, the younger man sees and elderly woman running as fast as her legs could carry her. Puzzled by this they both stopped and asked what was wrong.
