So hopefully Tina's song is crashing through your brain (where it will remain for the rest of the day by the way) as you view these pictures of my roll down the river yesterday.   My husband and I took a sight seeing cruise on a Paddleboat down the Mississippi River and what a glorious day. We left from downtown St. Paul, traveled south under the High Bridge, and on past many sights. The old Schmidt Brewery, the split of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers and on down to Fort Snelling. Sun shining, breeze blowing, eatting popcorn and sipping a soda with my sweetie while viewing stunning scenery. What else could you ask for? A perfect Summer Day. This would be a stunning cruise when the leaves start to change in a month or so. Surprise a friend or loved one and take them on the Paddlefo...

I wrote this post a few months ago but neglected to put the 50 words in it that are needed for points. Can you imagine that this would not count as a blog post? There is a lot going on with it but heck I don't make the rules and I mostly don't follow them either which is why I sometimes end up with pointless blog posts.

304 Exchange Street This renovated mansion has three units in it. Unit 3# is on the top floor. The deck on the back is kind of like having a tree house. This unit is very cute and it has a new furnace and air conditioning unit. It has a one car garage behind it and it is just half a block from Irvine park.

Rumors are bouncing off the wall right now about the demise of the project.  I've been waiting for this "big announcement" for about three months now and nothing.  Now the rumor mill is full of "the plug has been pulled" variants. So, I strolled down to the sales center hoping to get the scoop.  Instead, a hand written note on the door... "Sales Center is Temporarily Closed"  Also, the place is starting to look a little run down - it almost looks abandoned. If the rumors are true, it's a sad day for Saint Paul real estate.  During the boom of the 2001-2006, Saint Paul was not able to add a single new-construction high rise.  Minneapolis on the other hand added more than I care to admit. The truly sad part about this is we will likely get another ugly State office complex on the site ins...

Downtown St. Paul has about 5 miles of indoor skyways connecting the buildings.  In the wonter when it is cold out and I want to go for a walk without freezing I head for the skyways.  I only wish I could bring my dog with, she would love it. Walking in doors might not seem like fun but it is.  Here is some of the wild life that can be found in the skyway between the trade center and the  children's musuem of Minnesota. Not all of the skyways are open on Sunday so the trick is to not get stuck in a dead end and have to turn around or go outside to get to the next building.  Some of the skyways are heated and some are not.  Some are full of people and others are empty.   Most are well lit and much more pleasant than walking out side in the cold.

Located in the historic brick Louise building, built in 1885  271 7th St W, St Paul, 55102, three blocks from my home.  Cravings is my favorite office and the coffee is good too.  The  WiFi is always on, always working and very fast. A great place to write blog posts, meet with clients and talk to neighbors. My favorite table, by the window.  I love to sit here in the winter because the building faces south and is much warmer than my home office.  I should post my office hours, if you see me sitting at my virtual desk wave.
