I received a call last month from an assett manager in Dallas. He asked if I could check on a home in Ramsey, MN for him and of course I said yes. Asked if the utitlities were on he answered probably not and was stunned to find out it was -24* F here in the Twin Cities that day. He thought 50* F in Dallas was cold. The utility companies both said they were on but, a trip to the home quickly revealed the furnace was shut off. Apparently the last tenants had moved out in August so this wasn't a surprise. The company who winterizes for me came out, shut off the well and started the furnace up. Pipes had already burst in several locations along with the fiberglass water softener tank. Ramsey sits between the Mississippi River and the Rum River in Anoka county. Highway 10 connects you to the Twin Cities. The new NorthStar corrider transit hub will open in a few years. Here is what is happening in the city of Ramsey, MN real estate market: Currently there are 302 single family homes on the market with 123 of those being under $200K and 96 of those being townhouses.  Right now there are 46 pending sales with 30 of those being on homes under $200K... 22 of those are from townhouses.  There have been 28 closed transactions in the last month with 13 being under 200K and 10 of those being townhouses.  Right now the townhomes have started to turn over.
