With the opening round of the Dalbo Area Ministerial Softball League Tournament (DAMSL) starting on Aug. 16th it was time today for me to get the grid board heavy paper and get the brackets drawn up! Tomorrow night is the last week of the regular season and I am hoping all winning teams report their scores immediately following the game so I can fill these out and let teams know where they are playing one week in advance!   Almost every game this year will be played at Sanquist Park in Cambridge. There will be 3 games at other fields Tuesday the 16th and probably 2 games at other fields on Thursday and Friday with the balance of the tournament being played Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 18-21). Finally after over five hours of steady and at times heavy rain in Cambridge, MN the rain as stopped and the sun has even made an appearance! Lately the rain we have had has come on the overnight. Today we were greeted by gray skies in the morning and then Thunderstorms throughout the morning. The benefit that I got from this is that my car needed a wash any how so I made sure to pull it out and do some driving! The other benefit is that my wife won't have to water all the plants! When searching for a home in Cambridge MN and Isanti MN make sure your search is set up to include the area townships. You might need to just set the search up for Isanti County. If that is too wide spread use the 55008 and 55040 zip code search. You need to do this because some of the area townships will get missed on some of the website you set your search up on. For example if your looking for acreage property in Cambridge, you might be missing out if Cambridge Township or Springvale Township is not somehow included in your search. Some Cambridge homes are also Isanti Township or even Bradford or Spenser Brook Township. Again on some websites searching Isanti and Cambridge homes might not get them all. The Cambridge Isanti School Theatre Departments Final showing of the Musical "4 AM" is today at 3pm at the Richard G. Hardy performing arts center at Cambridge Isanti High School. My wife and I went to last nights performance and found it to be worth the watch. I am not a huge arts guy, but this musical moved along quickly with several different scene woven together nicely.  The music, directed by Aaron Knudsvig, was probably the highlight. I thought the acting was very good by the kids and the directing and choryography was well done. The spot for improvement might be the humor.  There were mixing in some drama and humor and the humor part did not take as well as I thought they were hoping with last nights crowd.  They have been making adjustments daily so I am guessing some of this wi... 05/22/2011

Most of the foreclosure listings I am showing these days are Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and HUD homes.  I recently had a HUD HOME closing on a house in Cambridge, MN and was pleased at how smooth it went.  It was a cash buyer, but no delays on the closing in fact it closed sooner then expected! HUD homes to me tend to be the best deal. One reason is that not every Realtor is registered by HUD.  You need to be a HUD Registered Agent in Minnesota to submit and offer.  Of course I am a HUD registered agent!   There are certain patterns I notice in getting your Minnesota HUD home offer accepted.  Plus they are very picky on having the right paperwork filled out at the time of submitting the offer package. Most all of us have some good stories about our grandparents wisdom or that of others.  Some of the greatest is when a Teen tries to match wits with an elder.  Case in Point. A teenage granddaughter comes down the stairs with a see-through blouse on and no bra.  Grandma, pitched a fit, (Only Grandma's are allowed to Pitch a fit) telling her not to dare go out like that. "Loosen up Grammy...These are modern times and you've got to let your rosebuds show!"  Then out the door she went. The next day the teenager comes down the stairs, and finds Grandma sitting in the kitchen with NO top on.  The teen explains that she has friends coming over and that this just isn't appropriate... A wife was upset with her husband for being out so often late at night.  So the next time he took her with him. "What will you have?" he asked her. "I suppose that same as you." was her reply. Every now and again, out Pastor shows that he is human and throws out a joke that makes you wonder, although it fit perfectly into his message.  Here is that funny... Every Sunday after church, a local pastor would ride his bike to an appointed place and meet the Bishop.   Then the 2 of them would go for a ride and talk about the days sermon and the week ahead.  One Sunday, the Bishop arrived at the appointed meeting place and waited, and waited and waited.  Finally about 1/2 hour late, here comes the Pastor walking up the side walk. What are you doing, inquired the Bishop, you know that we always ride bikes on Sunday.
