Brooklyn Park home prices have appreciated at a tramendous rate.  Although slowing during January so far, Brooklyn Park has seen an amazing bounceback from the lows of 2007-2009.  It's unlikely his appreciation will slow in the coming year, but take advantage now while rates are low. These numbers also are outstanding for those that were underwater and could mean people that have been locked in their home for several years can now make a move.   Search Brooklyn Park Properties for Sale Foreclosures for Sale in Brooklyn Park | New Listings for Sale in Brooklyn Park  Short Sales for Sale in Brooklyn Park | Town Homes for Sale in Brooklyn Park   Get Your Home Value in Brooklyn Park

A great article about VA Home Loans.  Take a look, and give me a call, I can put you in touch with a great loan officer who is very knowledgeable about VA loans.   Purchase A Home Using Your VA Benefits   The main reason why it's a great time to buy are:  Historically low mortgage rates, reduced home prices, and an increase of bank owned properties.  Veterans and active members of the military get to add another reason to their list - the VA loan.   The VA loan is one of the top benefits of military service which can be used to purchase or build a new home, and is desirable because it allows home buyers to purchase with no down payment.  VA also allows for flexible credit and documentation requirements making it the most popular financing option among our veterans and service members. ...

Now is the time to buy a home!   Interest rates have steadily gone up since November 2010, and are projected to continue to rise through 2011.  If you're currently in the market to purchase your first home or even your fifth home, there is no better time than now to get in while the rates are still low.  Here's a scenario to consider:   Let's assume you're purchasing a new home and taking out a loan for $300,000...   Today's interest rate would be 4.75% on a 30 year fixed…   Your principal and interest payment would be $1,564.94   Versus.   Let's say you wait to purchase that same house at that same loan amount…   And rates go up to 5.75% on a 30 year fixed…   Your principal and interest payment would be $1,750.71     That's $185.77 per month saved.  If you invest the $185.77 per month...

Historic interest rates are on the way up.  I found this article on CNN Money showing the trend of rising interest rates. Several experts believe that for 2011, the interest rates will stay between 5-6%.  According to the article, when the interest rates went from 4.25% to 5%, buyers lost 9% of their buying power.   What will happen to your buying power when the interest rates push 6%? Check out the article here CNN Money, and give me a call today.

The city of Brooklyn Park is committed to being a great city to live and keeping homebuyers safe.  One reason I know that is, Brooklyn Park is one of the few cities that have a required city inspection.  The city implemented the "Point of Sale Inspection" a few years ago.  Some agents in the industry today, are still unaware of what the means.  It means a lot if you are a homebuyer or seller in the city of Brooklyn Park.    Some of the requirements for a home to pass the Point of Sale Inspection are: *Egress windows in all bedrooms *Proper venting of appliances, bathroom fans, kitchen fans *Proper back-flow prevention on plumbing fixtures *Proper draining of sump pump system (if applicable)   When you're buying a home in the city of Brooklyn Park you need to know what you're looking for...

This winter season has been a snowy one in the Twin Cities, with 31.1 inches falling in December.  Did you know that if we get only 2.7 inches more, this would be the snowiest December since 1891?  And we have already had 3 times more snow than last year at this time.   On the brighter side, we have made it past the longest day of the whole year; the Winter Solstice.  Each day going forward, we will be gaining daylight.  Slow at first, only gaining a minute each day, but we have to start somewhere.     We have to start somewhere, just like the housing market.  Start the New Year with buying your first home.  Or make an investment with the purchase of a rental property.  Prices are low; rates are still low, only brighter days ahead from here.

Is it the right time to buy a home? Well if you believe in the saying" Buy low" the answer to the question...is YES! Look at the facts, homes are selling for less then they have been in years. And the biggest driving force in this market are the interest rates! They are at a historical 50+ year low. If you're sitting back waiting for the perfect time, in my opinion, the writing is on the wall now is the perfect time. As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end". If you continue to wait the prices may continue to be low but the interest rates will eventually go up.  Do the math, included in your monthly payment is interest, why would want to pay 5 1/2%  when you could be paying 4 1/2% over a 30 year period? I think the amount of savings will surprise you.  Don't wait, this ...

Good news! The new Jefferson Hwy Bridge opened just this morning. A portion of the roadway had been closed since early July as the bridge was being constructed over the new Hwy 610. The detour has been removed, and you can now enjoy a direct commute between 93rd Ave. N. and 101st Ave. N. This will help traffic continue to improve along the 169 corridor, which is getting better by the day with this project and the triangle proct to the south.
