Lotus and Maceday Lakes Lakefront Real Estate Sales Maceday and Lotus are both all sports lakes and are connected for a total acreage of 419 acres. Maceday Lake is located in Waterford, Michigan. The majority of Lotus Lake is located in Waterford Township, but the northern tip falls into Independence Township (more commonly known as Clarkston). I read a story that made me a sorry for everybody involved.  A 74 year old landlord got into an arguement with 3 kids of his renter.  The 74 year old  landlord was upset about parking, snow shoveling, and late rent.  He threatened to shoot the 3 teenagers.  The teenagers called the police and the police came.  The teenagers told the police they were not afraid of the landlord.   The police left.  The landlord came back, shot, and killed the 3 kids.  All over snow shoveling, late rent, and parking.  Sad, sad, sad.  The other story I have about landlord violence is one of my friends has apartments in Detroit.  A squatter broke into one of the apartments and moved in.  My friend called the Detroit police.  The police told my friend they couldn't do anything.  My friend would have to legall... 01/03/2013

The average sales price for lakefront home sales in the Clarkston/Waterford area so far this year is up 16.7% from the same time period last year and up 23.9% from 2009. Something freaky happened  in 2010 with a jump in price, but prices so far in 2012 are up 7.1% from that spike in 2010. Unit sales are up 12.8% from last year and almost double the amount of sales for the same time frame in 2009. Sales volume in 2012 is up $9,807,650 from 2011 and up $21,712,420 from 2009. Life passes us by so quickly.  It seems like only yesterday when you look back at times in your life.  Now I'm using "30 years ago" or back in the 70's....that was 40 years ago.  Last week I was at a real estate convention all week.  So I played catch up for the last 3 days.  I have worked 12 hours a day. Last night on the way home there was a beautiful sunset unfolding over the road in front of me.  It was a palette of colors splashed across the sky.  There even jet streaks that added to the color.  So I pulled over and took a few pictures.  I stopped to enjoy the display nature was putting on.  Looking for a Waterford Lake that is more than a round circle?  Then you should think about Lake Oakland and Woodhull Lake.  They connect together via a large culvert under Sashabaw Rd.  They are both fairly decent size lakes. Lake Oakland is 237 acres and WoodHull Lake is a 135 acres.  So combined they are a little over 370 acres.  That is a fairly decent size body of water in Oakland County. Lake Oakland does have public access so the public can get to Woodhull too.   They are great public allsports lakes.  Below are two amateur videos of the lake.  One is kind of blurry but I am just trying to give potential lake buyers an idea of what to expect on the lake.
