Midland has lots of sport activities to watch and participate in.  They include of course the "Great Lake Loons" professional baseball team, we have an awesome soccer complex, tennis complex, basebal/softball fields scattered around town, the Midland Explorers Fast Pitch hosts tournaments throughout the summer at Emerson Park, we have the Ice rink with 3 sheets of ice for figure skating, hockey and speed skating.  There is rugby, curling and all kinds of activities plus a tobagan run and lots of cross country skiing for winter and mountain biking for the summer, plus the rail trail for biking, walking, running and rollerblading.   If you dog needs some exercise we have two dog parks!   To be continued ....

Hello,  today we are going to talk about some sites around Midland.  The first is the Midland Tridge which is a 3 sided bridge that joins the Pine, Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers together.  You can enjoy a walk across the river in all directions, park benches are included to sit and watch the sunset or your Grandkids play.  The second is Dow Gardens which you can go for a stroll through the grounds, the location is on the South side of the  Midland Center for the Arts on Eastman Avenue.  During the Christmas season they have walks with Luminarias and Carolers.  To be continued . . .

Surrounding communities, EDENVILLE, SANFORD, HOPE, FREELAND, AUBURN, BAY CITY, GLADWIN, BEAVERTON are the closest communities to MIDLAND,  we form a Tri-City area with a regional airport called MBS  (Midland, Bay City Saginaw).  Midland has its own airport (Barstow)!   Its about time for snow to come to our area with that we get to toboggan at the City Forest ( A 10 square mile park of woods with a chalet and toboggan run).  Great fun !   To be continued !

Whether you are new, visiting, or looking for something to do in Midland, YOU ARE IN LUCK! When i was a young kid growing up in Midland, I would always here everyone complaining that there is nothing to do in town. Well I am here to inform you that there is plenty to do and that you just have to look. When i lived in Colorado i was an avid mountain biker. I loved the sport and missed it dearly once I moved to Midland. For eight years I was completely unaware of the rigorous mountain biking Mid-Michigan offered around the area. It was right in front of my face the whole time and I never knew! I didn't even think about inquiring about mountain biking in Mid-Michigan! There are many others with stories like mine. Whether it is exercising on the rail trail, rock climbing in the community ce...

It's no surprise to anyone that the housing market isn't the strongest. Does that mean it's a bad time to sell your existing house and look to upgrade to a new one? NO. Many sellers don't understand this scenario and how it can be very beneficial to your overall financial heath while capitalizing on this soft buying market. Prices aren't at their strongest but follow the simple breakdown below and it will explain how you can make money in this buyers market. Although it varies through different ranges, I'll be using round and easy numbers for this explanation.Facts:   Current home value $100,000. Value of dream home $150,000. Market is down 10%       If the value of your home is currently $100,000 after the 10% adjustment, it would be worth $110,000 after the market returns to a more no...
