The Ann Arbor Farmers Market is located in the Kerry Town section of Ann Arbor. Every May through December the Farmers Market is open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 3 PM. On October 30th, the farmers market is holding the 2nd annual pumpkin festival for kids. The kids can come dressed in their Halloween costumes and "Trick or Treat" with all the vendors. While supplies last there will be a pumpkin carving activity between 1 and 3.                                             October 30th is the Saturday before Halloween so all the wonderful fall vegetables, and flowers will be there. One of Ann Arbor's cultural icons, the Blackbird Theatre, has established its permanent nest at the SH\'aut\ Cabaret and Gallery, 325 Braun Court in Kerrytown - right across from the Farmers Market. But according to Kerrytown District Association president Deanna Relyea, Kerrytown actually extends several blocks down to Depot Street on the north and even reaches across Huron Street to include the Performance Network to the south. Vying for the largest price per square foot for Ann Arbor land transactions in history is a parcel of land just north of the Ann Arbor City Hall and southeast of Kerrytown.  Currently it houses five historic rental homes and two vacant lots and is listed for sale at $11 million which equates to $360/sqft.  Aside from a healthy asking price, this parcel also most likely comes with a worthy battle.  All five homes located on the parcel are over 100 years old and would likely face strong demolition opposition from local historical preservationists.  In fact, the only way the commission could approve demolition on these properties is if they were deemed structurally unsound or unwanted by overall community vote.  Right now they are considered, "contributing resources" to the historic distri... 02/27/2009
