Holiday Concert 2008 by the HIgh School Choir, Chamber Choir and Band Each year at this time I press my daughter, when is the Choir and Band Concert this year?  I look forward to hearing the young voices so clear and beautiful.  Of course my daughter is one of them so I probably tend to be a bit on the partial side!!  Ok, a lot on the partial side!  This year was very special as it was the first year with our new Choir and Band director, Tony Bush.  He did an absolutely incredible job and it was evident how proud he was of his students. This is my home in Allendale, Michigan.  I live up against state land.  I was typing away here on Active Rain and I happened to look out the window and I see this incredible picture.  I just took these pics 5 minutes ago.  It is the most beautiful kind of snow.  The big, fat, heavy flakes that stick to everything can be pretty incredible eye candy.    There is no wind and this is our first big snow.   Want to meet for coffee?!?!?!?!?!? Beans to Brew Cafe at 6177 Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale, Michigan isn't your average run-of-the-mill coffee shop!! I'm one of those country girls who loves the fact that I live in a small community where we don't lock our doors! Well yesterday that came to an ubrupt halt!  How can it be?  In the middle of the night 12 plus homes were hit.  They robbed the cars and took anything electronic they could find.  Heck I used to advertise that I had a GPS in my car by leaving it glowing in my car at night sitting outside my house!  No more!  Everything is locked up. I still want it known that Allendale, Michigan is an awesome community to live in.  For a college town (Grand Valley State University), we have realatively low crime.  I hope this was just a wake up to us all that we can all be subject to it no matter how small our town is.  I am still going to believe though, that it was just someone passing th... 04/02/2008

What does the world look like from a REALTORS point of veiw? Is everything rosey with gas getting to $3.25+ per gallon. Yes, because now there will be less cars on the roads, shorter lines at the pump, and people looking to move closer to work. What is our take on the Credit crunch? I guess it was good while it lasted. I don't know because I got in the business when everything was headed south. My take is that I will be a better agent because of it.
