Moosestompers Weekend, Houlton ME celebrates winter. What is Moosestompers? Sounds like something the animal abuse folks would get up in arms about right? No, Moosestompers Weekend happens every year the first weekend in February. It started up at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone.The B-52 SAC air base is gone but the commmander of the moth balled Loring AFB Alan Bean ended up becoming our Houlton ME town manager.
