The City of Westminster and the Main Street Committee of GWDC will be hosting the Miracle on Main Street Event on Saturday, November 28ty, 2009.  The Holiday Electric Parade will start at 5pm and proceed down Main Street to Locust Lane for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and presentation of the Mayor's Cup.  The City of Westminster Parks and Recreation Department will then host Santa's Treat, a party for children with rides, games, prizes and a vist from Santa. December 5, 2007 - The first snow of the season has arrived upon us!  The weather forecasted 1-2 inches but in Westminster Maryland we are up to almost 6 inches and it is still snowing!  The children got out of school two hours early and they are hoping that they will have off tommorrow too.  Looking up and down the streets homes have their holiday lights shining bright and they are twinkling in the snow, it is really beginning to look the holiday season!While snow days can be a lot of fun for most people it can also present dangers too.  Please take care when driving...keep plenty of distance from other cars and take your time.  Stay clear of the snow plows.  If you can stay home by the fireplace and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with your family.Cynthia Grimes, Associate BrokerRe/Max A... 12/05/2007

Recently the City of Westminster held it's Annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration.  I'm a member of the City Council and thought it would be interesting just to listen while folks in the crowd surrounding the tree were waiting for Santa to arrive.This event, much like the Fallfest is taking off with a great response.  I guess because local residence feel like they are part of a small town community. As I listened to folks in the crowd talking, they were saying, "this was a great evening of celebration", "the kids are loving the excitement of seeing Santa", "Westminster knows how to bring people together".Hearing the many comments, made me proud of being involved in the community.  I was born and raised in this town 50 years ago.  I still remember the sidewalks piled full of... 11/26/2007

  Well what a great day it was!  I took the afternoon off one day last week to spend time at my daughters ABC daycare at St. Johns church in Westminster, MD to share a Thanksgiving feast with everyone.  It is such a great time of the year to remember how thankful we are for all the wonderful things we enjoy in our lives.  We shared a wonderful meal, most dishes made by the children.  We enjoyed their poems, songs and dances.  I had the special pleasure to watch my daughter do the "Turkey Lurkey" with her friend.I wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving Day!  I hope that you will find joy and love in sharing the day with your families.  I am thankful for all the friendships I have made with my real estate clients and with my fellow co-workers.
