I receive this tonight from Hello Golden Lovers, Mitchell and Margaret Kalloch would like to share the following information from www.peteducation.com. Their very much loved Jake (picture attached) died suddenly and unexpectantly of Leptospirosis even though he was vaccinated. (Lepto is usually included in your dog's distemper vaccination.) Jake was adopted from the rescue in May of this year and was an otherwise happy, healthy boy. Jake died of the autumnalis strain which is carried by mouse urine. Stagnant and slow moving water is a habitat of the virus and we've had a lot of rain lately.  Leptospirosis is caused by exposure to several types of the Leptospira bacteria, which can be found in fresh water that has been contaminated by animal urine. Hell's Kitchen Robert Hesse is new Chef at Catamaran's Celebrity Chef  from Hell's Kitchen at Catamaran's Robert Hesse, celebrity chef from the TV show "Hell's Kitchen," will be the new chef at Catamaran's Restaurant on Solomons Island.   Catamaran's has been basically a nightlife spot in Solomons, Md for many years and was not know for it's food. Southern Maryland Waterfront! Southern Maryland Waterfront includes many bodies of water and it tributaries. The Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River and the Patuxent River are the three largest. This picture was taken on the Chesapeake Bay, near point patience. I saw this little boat with a few men fishing next to this old light station. You will notice the second picture of the man who looks like an old skipper. They were catching fish! I thought this was a great way to show how unique Southern Maryland Waterfront can be.
