Southern Maryland Waterfront - Spring Means the Return of the Osprey It has definitely been a cold winter for residents fortunate enough to live on Southern Maryland's beautiful waterfront. For many throughout the country, returning robins will soon receive a warm reception, an anxiously awaited yearly spring ritual. Southern Maryland waterfront residents look forward to the return of the Osprey to the area in the coming weeks, hopefully sooner rather than later, making bird watching a favorite pastime, its returning cry a distinctive and welcome sound.
