Back Creek Woods is a new Active Adult (age 55 or older) community being developed across from AnnMarie Gardens. I sold the first home  in the new subdivision last year to my clients who keep their boat at the marina down the street. There are only 11 lots in the subdivision. The Marine Museum will have the second Solomons Maritime Festival on May 5th from 10-5. The event is free. You can listen to music there are six bands playing. Each month I report on the current home sales statistics. Sixtyfive homes are currently on the market in the Dowell and Solomons area which is unchanged since last month. Eight went under contract in April compared with zero last month.  Zero homes sold in April.  Prices for homes for sale in the area range from $290,000 for a Solomons Landing Condo to 1.9 Million for a Solomons Island Bed & Breakfast.   05/08/2007

The first phase of clearing, which has already been completed, was more than 5 acres. This new developement is part of the town center master plan to direct development into the town centers, residential development.  THe new  community is Active Adult (55+). Homes will reflect a nautical take on neo-traditional, with the choice of a first floor owner's suite with a front load garage, or rear-load garage with owner's suite on the second level. 05/08/2007
