The other day I was doing some previewing of homes in an area for my Aunt who lives in Silver Spring, MD.  I had been in her home lots of times, but until I went into her neighborhood and looked at homes in the area.  It was certainly an interesting tour for me. I now know about the area called Franklin Knolls.  It is an area that is just south of Four Corners ... where University Blvd and U.S. 29 come together.  It is a quaint little area.  The homes are post-World War II era homes.  Many of these homes, as much of Silver Spring, were built when the troops were coming home in WWII and the Federal Government was expanding.  You have to remember that Congress was a part-time job (it still seems that way) until Truman felt the need because of the issues being faced by the nation to make i...
