Annapolis Views- OysterFest in St Michaels Md     It's that time of year. You know the months with the R's in them. Yes that is when oyster season comes alive. From September thru April is oyster season in Maryland and today is Oyster Fest day in St Michaels. Located over the Bay Bridge on the Easter Shore St Michaels is a quaint and beautiful waterfront community with wonderful dining, shopping and  gorgeous waterfront. Santa can still be seen picking up presents and rounding up reindeer following a collision over St. Michaels Maryland.  A freak accident between an F-104 fighter jet and santa's sleigh resulted in an emergency landing in a local homeowner's front yard.  Santa's will be grounded until the end of the year according to the homeowner.  Click Santa and Jet collision incident for the rest of the story and click more Santa and F-104 collision incident for more photographs.  This story and these pictures could come in handy, if needed, to explain why Santa didn't get someone what they wanted for Christmas. If you've never been to St. Michaels, located on Maryland's eastern shore, you should visit sometime. This beautiful small town is located about 90 miles away from Arlington, VA and Washington, DC.  St. Michaels is full of historic colonial, federal, and Victorian homes. Old churches and many antique stores add to the charm of this little town.  We went to St. Michaels this weekend, unaware there was a WineFest in progress. It was a pleasant surprise to see festivities going on around town. Wines from eight countries were served, and those who were not wine drinkers could find beer at several posts. Randy Welch walked around town in a traditional Scottish kilt, playing the Great Highland Bagpipes. It was a fun place to visit. Even my kids had a great time. Come to Talbot County Maryland Sunday July 27, 2008 @ 12 noon to celebrate the 2nd annual Talbot Crab Cook-Off.  Some of the County's most talented chefs will compete for the "Crab Cup".  This year's competition each chef will prepare a special crab dish - "anything containing crab".  Each chef will talk about their recipe as they are preparing it.  It is quite fun to watch.  A large audience is expected to attend the 2nd annual Crab Cook-Off.  This event will take place at the Maritime Museum in St. Michael's Maryland.  Maryland is know for the Blue Crab, so do not miss this event.  For more information call 410-770-8000 07/02/2008

Real estate here on the Eastern Shore including , but not limted to Talbot, Queen Anne, Caroline and other ares are doing well compared to other ares in the news.  We have a small drop, but nothing compared to FL, and many other ares.  I think our location to the metro ares, such as DC, Phii.
