My fellow appraisers, I would love to share with you the following addendum that I added to a report this morning. I know you can appreciate the humor and frustration in this.           Addendum to Appraisal Dated 4/13/2012   Regarding the underwriters request to add two comparables which bracket the subject's square footage.   The subject contains 950 SF. The appraisal provides seven (7) comparables that have the exact square footage as the subject (950 SF). As shown in the aerial photo above, the subject's market consists of many 950SF ranch style homes. Using homes outside of this range is not required. In addition, providing additional sales to "bracket" square footage would result in using sales outside of the subject's market  of different style and would be a disservice to the ...

OK, so maybe it's just me... but I don't think so. 45-days into an FHA loan application and still no commitment. Do I think that is terribly unusual, no. What has me ripping my hair out is that along with no commitment comes (drum roll....) No communication. Okay, okay... I do get maybe a single response to about every 5 to 10-email inquiries I send. Nothing of substance to date other than the favored "Should hear something back from underwriting by (insert fictitious date here)" No professionalism - they are e-mails, not text messages. Please, please, please; I am not 14, can we use whole words? No grammar - I mean really, is it that difficult to use sentence case and punctuation. I wont even get started on complete sentences, I mean really, my expectations weren't THAT high... In all ...

Last night, I drove by a former office building in Riverdale, MD, that I sold to a commercial agent. Wow ,was I impressed! the building stood there forlorn for a long time and now it is busteling with commerce.  The tenant he bought it for is just perfect for this property.  At a time when we are all so concerned about the lack of business, this place is full of customers.  My friend and I joined in and bought food products that looked good and were priced way better than the same goods at Giant or other local stores. I was proud to know that I had a part in this happening.  This is capitalism at its best.  No one stood around waiting for the government to create the jobs or give them a handout.

In Riverdale, we have a great community. We meet every other month on Wednesday at 7pm and every other month on Saturday at 11am to allow everyone in the neighborhood to participate and discuss on how we can work together to protect our Elderlies and Children from the Street. Our Goal is to keep our community and neighborhood clean and attractive to others. The committee is only few months old. We had our vote last month and we do have a lot of work to accomplish.
